In today’s episode we listened to a compilation of some of the best mid-80s punk groups which will go on to influence the grunge sub-genre of alternative. These bands combine traditional punk sounds with elements of different genres such as jazz and folk to create a brand new punk sound. Artists explored today were Minutemen, Descendents, Violet Femmes, Meat Puppets, X, Fugazi, and Husker Du.
