Announcing the Formation of the Arkansas College Radio Association (ArkCRA)

CONWAY, AR – On Saturday, February 25, 2017, members of KHDX from Hendrix College, KUOZ from the University of the Ozarks, KXUA from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and NUMediA from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith met on the campus of Hendrix College to form the Arkansas College Radio Association (ArkCRA), a support and resource network of collegiate radio stations in the State of Arkansas.

In a statement, ArkCRA President Jacob Turner said, “The future of college radio in Arkansas looks bright! We are very excited to have started a state-level organization that is the first of its kind in the nation for bringing college radio stations together to support and assist each other in our development and operations, as well as working to assist other colleges in starting their own stations.”

Charter members of the Arkansas College Radio Association include KHDX from Hendrix College, KUOZ from the University of the Ozarks, KVHU from Harding University, KWEM from Arkansas State University Mid-South, KXUA from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, NUMediA from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, and Red Wolf Radio from Arkansas State University Jonesboro.
