What’s up Ragged Old Flag Fans,
Last night’s show (2/19/20) was a rough show if you were listening in.
For those who haven’t heard this was the first show with our new hours from 5:00-8:00 pm…. a three hour show! It was fun as always but presented new challenges that I wasn’t faced with before.
In the booth it’s always a good time. That is, when everything is going correctly. We had two issues during the show…
The first issue was our speakers and headphones got switched off so we couldn’t hear what we were streaming. While trying to problem solve I was having to pay close attention to when our song’s ended otherwise it was just empty playing time. We bounced back from that issue and learned that our guests need to be made aware of where they place their feet. Eli my guest for the second week in a row accidentally shut off the speaker switch with his foot.
Our second problem was our music playing on top of each other causing feedback to both me in the booth and Ragged’s listeners. I reset a few things and thankfully I got this resolved as well.
My apologies for any inconvenience when listening! Half the fun with doing this show for me though has been getting to be spontaneous and thinking on my toes.
