Today’s theme is Female Empowerment within the Bollywood music and film industry. It is common for many of the films to have strong male protagonists or leading male actors or characters, which can be hard for many actresses to find a pivotal role or place in the industry. Women are usually seen playing the same common “heroine in need” role. Things are definitely changing though, and we today would like to highlight some of those moments in songs or films that showcase the talents and power of women in the Bollywood industry, whether through acting, singing, or direction.
