Welcome to this Funked Up! weekly podcast. The week of this podcast (last week) was the Funk Boundary special, detailing the synthesis of funk in the 60s through some classic tracks by real funk pioneers. The show had a bit of a late start and I might’ve got a little wordy at times, but nonetheless we made it over the Funk Boundary and listened to some great music in the process. The somewhat more elucidated companion blog post was submitted and should be up on this site soon hopefully, I’ll be sorting that out. But anyway, tune in to Episode 3 tomorrow, Pop-Funk to the Present, featuring Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Daft Punk and many more showstopping musicians of Pop-Funk. If you wanna hear some great funk tracks you can recognize and jam out to, I encourage you to check that one out. See ya tomorrow!
