I like to call this broadcast “the forgotten show.” This isn’t exactly because it got lost deep in some digital archives, but because I entirely forgot about this particular show and didn’t plan for it at all. While it was sort of all over the place (a compilation of thoughts and music, if you will), it still turned out pretty alright.
There was a good amount of talking, which included discussion of the cafeteria’s Beatles Day (a themed day in honor of the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band) and the creatively named foods, including but not limited to Eleanor Ribsby, Let It Beans, and When I’m Sixty Four-Cheese Mac.
Also, there was talk of local music acts such as Piecemeal Pact (lo-fi/bedroom pop) and Hot Glory (post-punk pop revival), which y’all should definitely check out.
