Some of you might know that in addition to valentine’s day, February 14, 2018 was also Ash Wednesday which is a day marking the beginning of the season of Lent that some, but not all, Christians honor. On Ash Wednesday, there is often a distribution of ashes reminds us of our own mortality and calls us to repentance so we can be more like Jesus. 

In the past several years, as Christian Contemporary music has taken off, a debate and critique f Christian music has developed revolving around the idea of Jesus being a boyfriend figure that is represented within Christian Music.
