The Witching Hour centers around the supernatural and true crime. So, for February, we are going to combine the two and dive into the astrology of the criminals we have covered on the show!
In first place we have….a suspect with an unknown zodiac! Many of the stories we have covered so far have suspects with no birthday to be found or no suspect at all. For the 26 suspects in the crimes covered, 20 remain a mystery for a total of 76.9%. I will take this anticlimactic opportunity to list the safest zodiacs covered (or in this case, not covered) thus far by the Witching Hour! We have yet to cover a crime by an Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, or Aquarius. Based on this limited sample, fire signs and air signs appear to be the safest! Which includes the Aries true crime host of the Witching Hour: me!
However, Pisces are tied for the most dangerous zodiac on the Witching Hour. As of the beginning of March 2019, 2 criminals covered have been Pisces for a total of 7.7%. These criminals include the Beast of Birkenshaw (Peter Manuel) and Josef Mengele. Pisces typically are emotional, artistic, and empathetic. However, they are also known for being moody, lazy, and escapists.
Next, watch out for Scorpios! The Witching Hour has covered two deadly Scorpios: Belle Gunness and Anna Weier. The supernatural story teller of the Witching Hour, is also a Scorpio, but lacks the same homicidal nature as her fellow Scorpios listed. On the brightside, Scorpios are known for their bravery, loyalty, and ambition. Watch out for their less than desirable traits: jealousy and a knack for keeping secrets.
The final zodiac tied for first and last place is…Taurus! The two Taurus terrorizers include Morgan Geyser and Dr. H. H. Holmes. Positive traits associated with Taurus include their logical and trustworthy nature. However, much like Pisces, they are prone to jealousy and are dangerously stubborn.
Despite the allure of astrology, it is important to note that zodiacs are nothing more than a fun game to play. There is no scientific study that has shown a correlation between zodiacs and likelihood of committing serious crimes. However, we will continue to be fascinated by astrology all the same as we combine the stars with the legends and stories we have always known.
