Tonight, I opened up with a really good poem by Nikita Gill, who writes some wonderful poetry about strong emotions. It being the week after Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fitting to play songs that are about getting out of relationships and rising from those ashes. One song that I cut at the last minute in favor of another is Blind by Ke$ha, because I thought that people would say, “That’s too much Ke$ha,” which, by the way, isn’t possible. But I did replace it with a different Kesha song, so I guess I didn’t worry that much. if you’re wondering why I changed the spelling of her name just now, it’s because she changed her name between her second and third studio albums, Warrior and Rainbow, which showed a sort of rebirth of her music style. So in the list below, I refer to her depending on when the song was released. Anyway, please draw some empowerment from these songs.
These are the famed tracks:
- C’Mon by Ke$ha
- Can’t Catch Me Now by Olivia Rodrigo
- Who’s Laughing Now by Ava Max
- IDGAF by Dua lipa
- Lose You To Love Me by Selena Gomez
- Praying by Kesha
- Who’s Laughing Now by Jessie J
- jar of hearts by Christina Perri
- Womanizer by Britney Spears
- I Lied by Lord Huron and Allison Ponthier
- Problem by Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea
- Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart by Alicia Keys
- Bad For Me by Meghan Trainor feat. Teddy Swims
- Delusional (Main Version) by Kesha
I hope that you enjoy these as much as I do!
