Buenos noches (or dias or tardes)! This time, I thought it would be good to listen to some sad songs, because, to quote Jessie J, “it’s okay not to be okay.” My sad songs are quite diverse, not the genres I would usually listen to, so I hope you like some new feelings! The above picture felt like it captured the feeling of sadness mixed with a kind of wistfulness. The picture was taken on campus between Cabe Theatre and Staples Auditorium.
These are the sorrowful songs (except for the first one):
- California Gurls by Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg
- Who You Are by Jessie J
- I Am Not Okay by Jelly Roll
- Pretty Pimpin’ by Kurt Vile
- Hymn For The Missing by Red
- HAPPY by NF
- Issues by Julia Michaels
- i hate u, i love you by gnash feat. Olivia O’brien
- Black Friday by Tom Odell
- Straight Razor by Matt Maeson (One thing I didn’t get to say is that I first heard this one in Arizona in 2020 when me, my mom, and Benjamin were helping with a Vacation Bible School. We went to hike in a canyon called SARA’s Crack, and this played in the car on the way there. It was late July and we nearly died.)
- All I Need Is You by Kesha
- Still by Ben Folds
- Kaleidoscope by Chappell Roan
- Happy by Kesha
I’m glad I was able to share these songs with y’all, so I hope you like them!
