Is the US headed to a totalitarian government? How would we know? And if it is, can we fight it?
These are the questions that were undoubtedly in the Founding Fathers’ minds as they wrote our Constitution and strengthened our federal government. These, too, are questions that many Americans ask themselves today. And in an attempt to understand history and government, we will have to explore the far-ends of the political spectrum where only totalitarians dwell away from the representative republic.
