Hello and welcome to Fictional Attachments on KHDX 93.1, the voice of Hendrix. I’m Sarah Buford, your host. Today, we will be exploring the musical taste of Fred and George from Harry Potter. It’s going to have a ton of classic punk, post punk revival, modern English guitar rock, and perhaps a few other genres that might surprise you. However, it all adds up to the incredibly fun, rebellious, and heartwarming red-headed twins we know as Fred and George. So turn up your radio and solemnly swear to get up to no good tonight! Here is Franz Ferdinand’s “Take Me Out.”

Thanks for tuning in. This is Fictional Attachments, where your favorite character always has a playlist. Today’s show we are celebrating the lively and mischievous attitudes of Fred and George from the book and movie series Harry Potter created by the brilliant mind of J. K. Rowling. It’s all punk here on the show this evening! On a pretty cool note, I would like to say that only 4 or 5 of these 16 bands are NOT from the U.K.! I tried to keep the regional influences of Fred & George consistent in this playlist and I had a lot of help from my amazing friend Violet to keep the punk classic. Of course, I wasn’t able to keep all of her recommendations because of the small amount of time we do have but I’m incredibly grateful for her help. So thank you, Violet. You’re the punk queen. So with that being said, here is “Judy is a Punk” by the Ramones.

This has been another week of Fictional Attachments. If you weren’t a big fan of these characters or this style of music, there will be plenty of weeks you can tune in and be more than excited about the playlist. For example, next week you can tune in to hear plenty of Beyonce, 90’s hip hop, and early 2000’s R&B for Tina Belcher’s playlist! Have a great rest of your week full of laughter and good fun.

Mischief Managed!
